Hi, I’m Erik!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor whose passion is working with youth, young adults, and their families. I am committed to partnering with clients and families to empower themselves to confront and overcome the challenges that can get in the way of leading meaningful, fulfilling lives.
The Professional Stuff
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have 8 years’ experience working with children, teens, and young adults in school-based, outpatient, and psychiatric day treatment settings. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trauma, low self-esteem, and a variety of relationship issues. I utilize a variety of clinical interventions in my work with clients and families, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Counseling, Collaborative Problem Solving, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.
The Personal Stuff
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, playing guitar and bass, playing pool, and relaxing at home.
