Latara Wilson, MS

Hi, I’m Latara!

I am a Registered Professional Counselor Associate. I have experience working with adults and teens who struggle with their mental health, as well as working with children who have behavioral issues. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality with unconditional positive regard, and an honest and straightforward approach. I would be honored to help you on your journey to becoming the healthy you that you strive to be.

The Professional Stuff

I have lived in Southern Oregon for 12 years and earned my Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Grand Canyon University. I then moved on to complete my Master’s Degree and now possess a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Grand Canyon University. I have 9 years of experience working with adults and teens from various populations. I specialize in anxiety disorders, depression disorders, trauma related behaviors, and family issues.

My core belief is that we can all be better versions of ourselves and that we can achieve that by identifying behaviors and choice patterns that have negative impacts. By using approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy; we can discover what is helpful and important for our growth, and what is not.

The Personal Stuff

In my free time I like to be with my family and travel. I love the outdoors and enjoy the history of every location I travel to. If I am not outside or traveling, you may find me reading or researching.
