Hi, I’m Lauren!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is very passionate about working with youth, young adults, and families. I strive to help those in need find and express their voice, along with processing difficulties that tend to get in the way of living life as your most authentic self.
The Professional Stuff
I am a born-and-raised Oregonian who possesses a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University. I have experience working as a school-based therapist for teens, in an outpatient setting for adolescents and their families, and in the residential level of care specifically treating those with eating disorders and co-occurring diagnoses. In these various settings, I have immense experience with themes such as self-esteem, trauma, body image, anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and relationship conflict.
The major therapeutic models I practice include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). I also enjoy utilizing creative and expressive techniques such as music, art, and writing, as well as assisting each person with building their own personal coping skills inventory.
The Personal Stuff
Outside of being a therapist, I love outdoor adventures with my dog "River," spending time with family, and cuddling with my cat "Fiona." I also love to paint, make candles, and go line dancing with friends.
